Shivamogga Smart City is a retrofitting and redevelopment model covering a total area of 1500 acres (6 sq. km.) with an impact population of 83,000 (23% of city population). The vision of Shivamogga Smart city is to transform ‘Shivamogga- Gateway to Malnad’ into a leading eco-tourism destination through green urbanism’. The Shivamogga Smart City projectivization is based on the objectives of Sustainable Urban Matrix, Social- cultural inclusiveness, Sustainable economy, Sustainable Energy, Resources and Materials and Smart Governance.

Green Initiative in this project mainly includes Development of Parks, Tunga riverfront Development and Canal Front Development.
