He possesses more than four decades of rich experience in project management, comprising project coordination, contract management, planning, execution, change management, contract closure, business development, and operations. He has also driven improvement initiatives within the company as the Head of the Operations Track, a Cross-Functional Team (CFT) established to bring operational excellence and improve working capital.

Prior to this role, Ramesh was the Business Unit Head of the PMC Business, before which he was the Head of Global Project Delivery and Regional Manager, South. He has delivered nine mega projects for various clients in the power, refinery, chemical, and nuclear sectors and has exposure to international project delivery, having worked on the development of a power plant in Indonesia from inception through commissioning.

Projects delivered under his leadership include the DuPont Polyester X-Ray Project; a 2 × 100 MW Power Plant in Indonesia; a 2 × 38.5 MW Power Plant for Essar in Jamnagar; a 2 × 100 MW Power Plant for Tata Power in Jojobera; a 2 × 20 MW Cogeneration Power Plant for CPCL, Chennai; the Spent Fuel Storage Facility (SFSF) and PREFRE 3A Nuclear Facility at Kalpakkam; and EPCM services for the Euro IV Facility for CPCL, which was one of the largest EPCM assignments undertaken by TCE. The SFSF project executed under his leadership at Kalpakkam won the CEAI National Award for Best Technological Structure.

He is a qualified TBEM External Assessor and has undergone the Management Development Programme at IIM Ahmedabad.

Prior to joining TCE, he worked with PT PEC-TECH of the APRIL Group, Indonesia, a multinational organisation.

He is currently on the Governing Council of the Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI), representing Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd.
